Welcome to the Office of Student Assistance Services (OSAS).The Knox County Schools Board of Education established the OSAS in 1987. The OSAS was recently reorganized and absorbed within Knox County Schools Student Support Services.  The mission is to:  

   "Collaborate with families and community entities to ensure that all students and staff are physically and emotionally healthy enough to participate in the learning process, and that they spend time in safe, drug-free, well-prepared school environments that promote healthy lifestyles and are conducive to learning." 

The mission is supported by the Knox County Schools system, and grants from the federal No Child Left Behind Act – Title IVA, the Tennessee Safe Schools Act, and the Tennessee Youth Violence and Drug Use Prevention grant.
